Join us every Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm of the Deer Creek Recreation Building for an exciting, fun filled Martial Arts Program for kids and adults! Our staff has training on how to teach students how to avoid physical conflict, while building confidence and self esteem in our students. There are no forms of katas taught. We teach multiple self defense techniques to respond to different types of situations.
We do offer belt ranks to signify the level of knowledge the student has progressed through: White through Black belt.
We povide safety equipment for sparring: Helmets, hand pads, and foot pads. On our foam padded mats.
Classes consist of group calisthenics, stretching, basic punching and kicking, sparring and help rank up through the belts.
Our Martial Arts coordinator, Jeff Obst has over 45+ years experience in the Martial Arts and 35+ years experience as a suburban Milwaukee law enforcement officer in the State of Wisconsin. He has been taught by many instructors from such agencies as: U.S. Secret Service, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, Greater St Louis Training Academy, various Martial Arts Masters and he is a certified fifth degree Black Belt. Jeff has taught numerous classes for different private and school groups, the YMCA's of Milwaukee, Marquette University's Public Safety Department and the Milwaukee Suburban Police Academy. Jeff brings not only a wealth of martial arts and practical self defense experience to our program, but he also created numerous community relation programs for which he received national, state and local awards.
