Join Amanda Sura along with her staff of trained dancers teaching you routines to perform in events. We could not be more excited for all of dancers to get educated in multiple styles of dance, in their sparkly costumes performing in front of an audience, but most of all having fun doing what they enjoy the most We offer classes in the following styles $90.00 per class: This includes recital costume, tights, recital t-shirt, and recital video access. 12+ week program. (Please note that costume fees are non-refundable).
Ballet/Lyrical (Ages 4 - 18) Lyrical combines ballet, jazz and modern dance styles. As in our Jazz classes, our Lyrical class will include a warm-up, across the floor work and center combinations. The dance moves are choreographed, based on story told by the lyrics. Lyrical dancers will work on developing grace, strength and control.
Jazz & Hip Hop (Ages 4 - 18) Jazz focuses on stamina, strength, and flexibility while dancing to fun upbeat music. As dancers progress, technical elements such as leaps, jumps, turns, and acrobatics develop.
Jazz class is offered for dancers 4-18 years of age. Hip Hop-The variety of styles offered in hip hop can be intricate, bouncy or sharp. This modern dance style requires precision movements offering a visual interpretation of modern music with a strong beat.
Poms (Ages 6-11) A high-intensity jazz/poms class with a focus on choreography, technique, and performance styles/ Choreography integrates the use of poms and props. This is a great class for cheerleaders and future pom/dance team hopefuls.
Tap (Ages 4 - 18) Tap utilizes percussive footwork, movements & sounds to create rhythmic patterns. Students begin with basic rhythms & progress to more intricate, fast-paced combinations. Tap helps build foot and ankle manipulation and an understanding of rhythms and musicality.
Production is the show opening routine that features by INVITE ONLY.
No dance experience is needed to join! We offer classes at all levels in age, whether it be for Mini’s (4-8 Years Old), Elem (6-8 years old), Juniors (8 – 12 Years Old), or Seniors (12 and up). Classes begin September 11th (held on Monday evenings) and continue until the spring recital, in June. All classes will happen between 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm. Each style enrolled in is a 30 minute commitment per week .
Placement Classes - Placement classes are so important for us to re-evaluate what class best suits your dancers technical and difficulty level. At SF Rec we love to do our best to have kids in a level that challenges them but sets them up for a successful recital day. Placement classes took place at the end of last season. We will makeup placement classes or we will make a decision based on attendance and teacher recommendation of the year prior.
